Transforming lives through comprehensive support, dignity, and meaningful opportunities for those leaving the prison system. Our reintegration programme helps individuals rebuild their lives and contribute to their communities.
Simon came to BMS in June 2025, just as he was released from Brixton Prison after serving a five-year sentence. Like many individuals transitioning from the justice system, Simon faced significant challenges: finding stable housing, rebuilding relationships, regaining confidence, and finding his place in society.
The BMS team provided comprehensive support, helping Simon access housing, connect with community services, and rebuild his self-esteem. Through our counselling, mentorship, and community programmes, Simon discovered a sense of purpose and belonging.
Today, Simon is a valued volunteer with BMS. He coordinates Friday outreach activities, directly supporting vulnerable community members and demonstrating that real change is possible. Simon's journey shows how compassion, support, and opportunity can transform lives.
